May 28, 2002: The day we graduate from High
School…
Boy, those days will be remembered. The days of tardies… the days of unexcused
absences… the days of off-campus lunch… the fond memories and the sad memories… all of it is part of the
past…
Remember what Connie said in her speech… this isn’t a direct quote or anything, but it went
something like this… “Don’t look back on yesterday and don’t worry about tomorrrow… stick to the present, strive in
the present, and enjoy the present.”
The graduation ceremony was long, yet fun at the same time!
Seeing your friends who you have known since 4th grade walk on stage and accept their diploma…. wow, that was amazing. I
just wanted to get up and cheer for some of these people… but then I remembered that it’s a FORMAL event… lol… boy,
the audience was TRULY being formal with their horns and everything.
Afterwards, I ate lunch, took a
long nap, and had a mini celebration with my parents…. well, that’s about it for now. Later tonight, I’m going to
Project Graduation at the Plano Centre… that sounds like it will be fun!
Alrighty, let me end this
entry like this: High School may be over, but it will never be forgotten.
