Wow, so much happened within the past few weeks… so here goes.

I decided I wanted to try to get a “computer lab person” job (you know, the job where those people sit in the computer lab, surf the net, and get paid?) so I could make some extra money during the school year. Well, guess what? I started researching for jobs, and I found a “System Administrator” job on hirealonghorn. The position was posted back in February. Anyway, they wanted a person to do system administration on Red Hat Linux, Mac OS X, and Windows XP machines. I thought, wow, this is the perfect job for me, and I applied. The next day, I get a request for an interview! And guess what?? I’m the new system lab administrator for the College of Biomedical Engineering graduate computer lab!

That really made my day. It sounds like I’ll really enjoy doing it.

The Turing Scholars banquet happened last weekend. That was quite interesting (especially watching Vasanth and Mei-Mei paddle as hard as they can on the paddle game at Dave & Buster’s). The next day was 40 Acres fest… I volunteered the ACM booth. We had an office space booth where people could come and smash printers. It was very amusing.

So now I’m here, studying…. for many, many CS exams. I’ve decided that I can’t wait until these are over. It’s been so much work. It’s time for this semester to end.

What am I doing this summer? I’m going to take both government courses at the community college, and I’ll probably end up working at SuperTarget as usual. Oh well, it’s money, and it will help me buy a new laptop (hopefully).

Anyway, the Matrix comes out on May 15th…. but we’re going to the May 14th @ 10:00 PM release! If you wanna come (please come!), go to http://www.zmweb.com/matrix and buy your tickets!

Oh, and based on popular demand, I created a script that compares the price the coop will pay for your textbooks to the price you could sell it for on half.com. Check it out: http://www.zmweb.com/books

Have a great week and good luck on your exams!

Oh, and Rex, happy 19th birthday!!!
