2006 State of the Union

Interesting speech by Bush, although I believe it wasn’t very good. He didn’t really say much I didn’t expect him to say. Some thoughts:
- We shouldn’t go to Iran, although Bush hinted we will. War in Iran will be like war in Vietnam. Let’s not get involved this time.
- Investment in alternative energy programs… thanks for saying it, but it had to happen anyway.
- More investment in science and technology… definitely good if we want to stay ahead.
- “Total ban of anything related to cloning”… not a direct quote, but that means no embryonic stem cell research. That is a really bad decision. Stem cell research will change medicine and bio research forever. Now Bush has to understand that.
