I passed my thesis defense! Wooo! Now I just have to revise my thesis, and I’ll be able to graduate! I’m thinking about working for Tandy again this summer and continue my research for about 6 weeks. That would be really fun to stay in Austin for just a little while longer.
For the past two weeks, I’ve spent about 10 hours a day in ACES, the fancy computer science building at UT. Don’t worry.. I haven’t been doing anything more interesting then writing a thesis with David, the graduate student I work with. He’s a great guy, but I think I’ve been spending too much grabbing food with him!
Well, I turned in my first thesis draft to my committee (3 professors). It’s been a crazy couple of weeks, but things sure as heck aren’t winding down yet… next Tuesday is my defense, and if all goes well, I’ll be a Turing Scholar!
PS… here’s the draft…
I’m getting old. Thanks to everyone for making my birthday feel special!
So are there any “life birthday events” from now on? 16 passed… then 18… then 21.. what’s next? 30? That won’t be positive, though, will it? I’m confused!
It turns out some russian sites actually use your credit card information (no surprise) to rack up charges on your credit card. I don’t believe Allofmp3.com has been linked to any of this, so it may still be a reputable site. But in the end, why take the chance?
Back to eBay/half.com/iTunes for me.
