After gaining about 5 pounds eating away at macarons, nutella crepes, gaufres, baguettes, and lots of french onion soup, we are back home. We spent our 10 days in Paris exploring everything including Versailles, The Louvre, The Arc de Triomphe, the Eiffel Tower, and much more. Definitely hard to finally get back home!
Looking forward to our next international trip!

Working at Parkland, I’m always on the hunt to find the lowest prices for prescription drugs for my patients. Generally, for the most common drugs, Wal-Mart carries 30-day supplies for $4. However, pharmacies typically don’t publish pricing for all the other drugs. GoodRx is a valuable resource for comparison shopping prescription drugs, and there’s an iPhone app!

Maria and I went on our first vacation from our time in Richmond. The place, Buenos Aires. The time, January 1-8. It was awesome. We ate steak practically for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The portions are huge, and they always give free food with each meal (wine, champagne, massive amounts of appetizers).
Check out the pictures on Flickr. I think I plan on switching back to Flickr to host pictures from now on.
Match results came in today. I matched to Virginia Commonwealth University Neurosurgery in Richmond, one of my top choices! Thanks to everyone who wished me well!
A bunch of photos taken throughout medical school in Galveston. Good times!

Toyota’s troubles continue to worsen. After being ridiculed for the past several weeks as producing “deathtraps”, leaked corporate memos are now beginning to appear.
The New York Times today reported that in 2009, Toyota knew about the unintended acceleration issue. The company saved themselves $100 million by limiting the recall to only the floormats of 2007 Camry’s and ES 350s.
In other words, Toyota looked to help their bottom line by sacrificing their goal to always “do the right thing.” It appears that not only did Toyota cost themselves billions by doing a much larger recall now, they’ve also lost much of the credibility they used to have.
I went out to Denver for a neurosurgery rotation and stayed with Jeff, Turing, and Edie. Maria came along with me on the roadtrip up and back.

Maria has been hard at work on our wedding website. It has finally gone live. Announcing ZackAndMaria.com, the official wedding website for Zack Mahdavi and Maria Joseph!
