Well, I'd say they hit it on the ball really...except for the tinge of chauvenism, chauvenism...and, uh, chauvenism.

rant/

Why is the guy shaking his head when he saw the bill? His wife spending money again?

Most of my guy friends spend more money on shiny new technology than girls on jewelry and shoes.

Women aren't the only money suckers. Guys are too. For buying those huge video screens to check up on wife's spending habit. Got nothing better to do?

/rant - the panda will now return to her regular jovial self

Really nice cap on the birds!!! Are they seagull? Man they look totally different than the seagulls over here...

And I can sort of see why you weren't so keen on the beaches there...but hey at least people are swimming there. The shot of the guy fishing there is also very neat...maybe a slightly lower fstop value to make him a little more in focus than the rest of the scene?

Alright!!! Now I have someone to go on spotting trips with!!!

Welcome, to the dark side!!! :D :D :D

The Galveston airport sounds like the Melbourne International Airport we have here. Except we have LOTS AND LOTS of small planes. And maybe three Delta passenger aircrafts that leaves Melbourne. It is a busy but not commercial airport.

The photo of the tower itself is cool! Really sharp and clean...you have nice lens there.

As for the view of the city, maybe a little bit color balancing. I'm assuming you shot it through a slightly tinted window, because the image has a bit of yellow ting that takes away the contrast somewhat.

2nd photo, color balance, and little more contrast. Great shots...I wish I have a camera and lens like yours...

Wired is calling this "swiftboating" (though, I usually take everything they say with a grain of salt). It still seems to tip the envelope a little more toward's Godwin's Law.
